4th Grade Teachers

Mrs. Cisneros

Hello 4th Grade students and parents! My name is Maria Cisneros and I am SO EXCITED to be your Language Arts teacher this year. I am truly grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of such a great school and community, especially because I grew up about 10 minutes away from here. I recently moved back to the home where I grew up and am in the process of reviving our old family farm with my younger sister and a group of our friends. I am really excited to be back in my hometown and even more excited at the opportunity to teach Language Arts, which has always been my favorite subject and one I have had a lot of success with when it comes to both my personal academic career as well as that of my students.

Though this will be my 5th year teaching, I have been away from the classroom for a few years pursuing other incredible opportunities in the fields of Medical Administration, Marketing, and Public Relations. During this time I had the privilege of working with the Spanish speaking community at a large CardioVascular clinic in Mesa and Gilbert, with small business owners in several cities throughout the country (including Los Angeles, California and Jackson, Mississippi), and with the Harley Davidson and Motor Sport community in several west coast states (including Arizona, California, and Washington). As wonderful as those opportunities were, my first love and true passion will always be teaching, so when the opportunity to teach my favorite grade and subject in my hometown presented itself to me, I jumped at the chance.

When I am not teaching, I am usually working on my house which is in the process of being renovated. Last summer, I taught myself how to install a window and was able to do so successfully. I also love being outdoors whether it's hiking Superstition with my dogs Duck, Zephyr and Apple, or working on any of the several gardens throughout our property. I can also be found in the kitchen, whipping up vegetarian dishes that would blow your mind. mcisneros@fusdaz.org

Mrs. Gill

Hi! My name is Shilpa Gill. This will be my 21st year in teaching grades 1 through 4. My favorite has been 4th grade. I received a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. My passion is teaching Math. I am very fortunate to have been given this opportunity at Circle Cross. This will be my first year in the district and I look forward to working with you and your children. On my free time, I enjoy researching various strategies to make Math fun. I also love going out with my friends and family. We spend our most memorable times watching movies, bowling, dancing or just hanging out at home. shilpagill@fusdaz.org
